vRA 7.x IAAS encountered “Server Error 401 – Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials”

In my experience vRA is extremely stable component from the vRealize Suite product portfolio. Perhaps when I received below error that self explain something not right regards to the credentials. Thats Easy!!

However when noticed no issues with the credentials, it was purely misleading error message. The real reason behind this error was something else. Thats the HARD part.  Where to start??

Since the vRA Infrastructure Tab reported error, decided to start looking into the IaaS configuration and server status.

Noticed ‘RepositoryAppPool’ service was stopped in IaaS Application Pools.

Tried to start the service however it failed with unknown error message. Decided to sanity check the IaaS server and Boom!! realized system disk C:\ was full. NO SPACE!!

Added more space to the IaaS system disk and restarted the ‘RepositoryAppPool’ service. vRA Infrastructure tab is now accessible
